Do you want to record your screen for whatever reason?
Maybe you’re making a tutorial or something else and want to upload them to video sites?

Want to record and then edit directly afterwards?

I have found a great and very cheap software.

This is my honest ScreenPal

ScreenPal Overview

ScreenPal (Formerly knows as: Screencast-O-Matic) is a software that records the screen and your webcam, and you do not need any technical knowledge to start using it.

I just click the record button and it records my screen.
If I want to make edits to the video after the recording has finished, I just open up the built-in editing tool.

The editing tool has all the editing features that I need.
Delete, blur any part of your video, zoom in and zoom out, slow down and speed up and much much more.

What I liked the most with ScreenPal is that you can record both your screen and webcam either at the same time or one at a time.

The beginner friendly interface makes the software easy to use for a total beginner.

They have a free plan and the paid version is affordable too (from $3.00 a month – that’s not much and does not break the bank).

It has built-in editing tools that are easy to work with, and when you’re done, you can easily upload your video to video sites.

ScreenPal Features

Music: choose between well over 100 music tracks. You can use these music tracks for commercial or personal use.

Sound effects:
You can add your own sound effects or choose from a library with sound effects like: “car horn,” “cash register,” “elevator bell,” “doorbell,” “boing,” “chicken,” “thunder,” “awwww,” “glitch” and more than 70 different sound effects. I have had much fun with all of these sound effects.

Sharing: Share your recording with the world. Upload your recording to video sites.

ScreenPal Editing

You can import external videos and images and edit those in the video editor or just edit a video that you have recorded with ScreenPal.

With the video editor, you can then zoom out, zoom in, highlight areas, adjust colors, create video transitions and even add music from their library.

Blur any part of your video. Good for when you want to blur sensitive information, or you can blur any part of the beginning of your video and tell viewers that they will see that information if they watch your video to the end.

Trim recordings or delete any part of your video. Slow down your video or speed up your video. The editor can slow down or speed up your video by 10 times.

ScreenPal Pro Tip:

If you want to slow down or speed up your video more than 10 times, you can always first record it at 10 times the speed and then speed that up with another 10 times (or any other speed), which will be 100 times the speed of the original video.

My Experience With ScreenPal:

I have never come across a recording tool that is so easy to use. I mean, you just open the software and hit “Record.”

The option to choose what part of the screen to record is great and the ability to move around the recording part is big plus.

I really like that during the recording you have the option to highlight any part, zoom in and zoom out and draw, which makes it easier to explain to the viewer my message.

If I am making a tutorial video, those features make it easier to explain what I am trying to teach.

The editing tool has all the options I have ever needed. When it is time to edit the video, I just open up the editing tool and start editing.
The editing can sometimes be even more fun than the recording itself.

Summary:

If you want a software that is easy to install, understand, record and edit a video, this is a great software.

The feature I like the most is when I am recording, I can draw, write, zoom in and zoom out and highlight important parts.

The editing tool has all the features for a beginner and then some.

In the editing tool, you can delete part of your video, speed up and slow down part of your video, blur sensitive information and other editing options.

So, if you want a software that is beginner friendly and you want to begin recording within the hour, this software is a clear winner.
